Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language horror thriller film directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan. It is based on a true accident that took place in Mumbai,[3] and tells the story of a couple on an abandoned ship lying static on a beach. The film features Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles,[4][5] and is the first film of a planned horror film franchise. A door fell on him which resulted in him getting 13 stitches.[10] The shooting of the film ended on 3 September 2019 as Kaushal shared a post on his Instagram account. Marketing and release The two official posters of the film were unveiled on 19 July 2019 by Kaushal with release date. Another set of posters were released on 13 September. A week later, on 20 September, a poster was unveiled to announce the new release date. The film released two new posters on 30th January 2020[11].
